how to sprout millet for parrots and a step-by-step guide
Go to comments (2)- Rinse millet spray and remove any debris or stones.
- Place millet in a jar or other sprouting container. I used just a simple plastic container
- Fill with water, and cover the spray millet. The spray millet will likely try to float to the top as it is less dense than water. You can use something like a spoon or can opener on top of the millet to have it fully submerged in the water.
- Soak for at least 8 hours, ideally 12.
- Drain all water off the millet.
- rinse and drain the millet spray 2-3 times daily
- Tiny sprouts should begin to form in 1-2 days. At this point, you can decide how much you want your sprouts to grow.
- Drain the sprouts well; and give to your birds so they can enjoy it immediately.
